Dr. Caroline MacCallum is a specialist in internal medicine, with expertise in complex pain and cannabinoid medicine. She is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine; Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences program; and associate member in the Dept. of Palliative Care at the University of British Columbia.
Caroline MacCallum is the primary author of Therapeutic use of psilocybin: Practical considerations for dosing and administration, published in Frontiers Pschiatry. She has also published numerous manuscripts on medical cannabis, focused on dosing, impairment, patient safety (contraindications & drug interactions), and opioid substitution.
Dr. MacCallum is currently working on knowledge translation and the publication of guidelines to support clinicians and patients using psilocybin.

Jagpaul Kaur Deol
Jagpaul Kaur Deol currently practices as a Clinical Pharmacist in Vancouver BC. She is an accredited HIV & Hepatitis Specialist along with mental health and addictions training [board certified in Psychiatry]. She has also served as a Clinical Instructor, Adjunct Professor and Assistant Professor at UBC Faculty of Pharmacy over the years in addition to her pharmacy practice.
Her clinical experience has also extended into oncology and end of life care. She has managed, owned and operated several corporate and independent pharmacies and medical clinics that have centred around specialty biologics, medical aesthetics and interventional pain management. Her clinical work has spanned from Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, BC’s rural communities and beyond into international humanitarian and medical aid through WHO, UN, MSF and other NGO’s.
In addition to her traditional pharmacy practice, she has over a decade of clinical experience in Cannabinoid Medicine and Psychedelic Pharmacotherapy harm reduction. Jagpaul consults for several psychedelic non-profits, private sector organizations and public companies. She is the lead psychedelic pharmacology educator and trainer for several organizations providing accredited psychedelic-assisted therapy training for physicians, nurses, pharmacists and therapists.
She is a strong proponent of diversity and equity in both pharmaceutical and psychedelic medicine models. She continues to be a vocal advocate for drug policy reform through an anti-racism lens rooted in BIPOC equity and works to include equitable access to psychedelic-assisted therapy. She is currently a masters candidate in Applied Neuroscience focused on psychedelics with a special interest in South Asian mental health and addictions.
